Ouarzazate is the gateway to Morocco’s south, surrounded by kasbahs, palm oases and the film studios that made it famous, with UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou a short drive away. From here the road follows the Dades Valley and the Todra Gorge east to the Sahara dunes of Merzouga.
