Itinerary: 5-day-journey-from-marrakech-to Dades Valley to Todra Gorge and the Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
We will pick you up from Marrakech in the morning and travel across the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n Tichka pass at 2260 m. Our first stop is Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village known for its impressive Kasbahs and its role as a backdrop in many famous films. After lunch, we continue toward Dades by way of Ouarzazate, the palm grove of Skoura, and the Dades Valley, where you will spend the first night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
After breakfast, we continue the journey toward the Sahara, driving through colorful Berber villages on the way to Tineghir and its lush palm grove. We then head to Todra Gorge, where you can enjoy a walk through its towering 300 m cliffs, a popular spot for rock climbers. Later, we travel to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga for an overnight stay at a local riad.

Day 3: Merzouga Sightseeing Tour and Camel Ride
After breakfast, you will explore the wide circle around the Merzouga dunes, including the nomadic areas, the village of the Gnaoua, the Mifiss mines, and the desert plains where you may meet local Berber nomads. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a 1 hour 30 minute camel ride across the dunes, watching the sunset as you head to your camp set in an oasis. You will spend the night in a desert bivouac under traditional nomadic tents.

Day 4: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
After a peaceful night in the Erg Chebbi dunes, you can watch the sunrise before returning to the hotel by camel for breakfast and a shower. We then drive to Rissani to visit its main attractions, including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the large palm grove. After lunch in Nkoub, we continue through the Draa Valley on the way to Ouarzazate, where you will have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Telouet – The Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, we begin the return journey to Marrakech with a stop in the traditional Berber village of Telouet. Here you will visit the Kasbah el Glaoui before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again to reach Marrakech.
