About Journey Via Morocco
We are a locally owned Moroccan travel company based in Marrakech. We plan private and shared tours across Morocco, from the medinas of Fes and Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains and the dunes of the Sahara, and we stay with you from the first message to the last day of your trip.
Who we are
Our Story and Who We Are
Journey Via Morocco was founded by Jawad with a simple idea: travelers should be able to experience the real Morocco in a way that is meaningful, comfortable and authentic, without being hurried from one landmark to the next.
We are Moroccan, and we plan trips in the country we live in. Every region has its own character: the blue lanes of Chefchaouen, the imperial cities of Marrakech, Fes, Rabat and Meknes, the high passes of the Atlas, the kasbahs and palm valleys of the south, the Sahara, and the Atlantic coast. We want our guests to see that variety for themselves, and to meet the people who live there.
From the start, we wanted to offer something more personal than a standard tour. Every trip is planned by people who know the roads, the seasons and the places worth stopping for.

We are a Moroccan company, not an agency reselling someone else's trips. The advice you get comes from people who travel these routes themselves.
Private or shared: your choice
Travel privately with your own vehicle and driver, at your own pace, or join a shared tour and explore Morocco with other travelers. Both are planned and run by our own team.
Tailor-made itineraries
The itineraries on our site are sample routes. On a private tour you can change the length, the order, the pace and the stops, or ask us to plan something from scratch.
Officially licensed local guides
All of our guides are officially licensed. In the medinas and historic sites they explain the history and everyday life behind what you see.
Experienced drivers and the right vehicle
Our local drivers know Morocco's roads well, from mountain passes to desert tracks. We choose the vehicle based on the size of your group.
Carefully chosen places to stay
Accommodation is part of the trip. We choose riads in the old medinas and desert camps in the Sahara to suit your itinerary and travel style.
Personal support, before and during your trip
You deal with the same small team from your first question to your departure. We answer honestly, communicate clearly and stay reachable while you travel.

Tell us about your trip
Send us your dates, the number of travelers, where you want to start and finish, and what interests you most.
We suggest an itinerary
You receive a day-by-day route with overnight stops and the type of accommodation, or a shared tour date that fits your plans.
Adjust it until it feels right
Add a night in the desert, slow down in Fes or skip a long drive. Nothing is fixed until you are happy.
Confirm with a small deposit
The balance is paid on the first day of your tour. See our Booking & Payment Policy and Cancellation Policy.
Travel with support
On request, your driver meets you at the airport. Flights are not included. We stay in touch throughout your journey.

Do you offer private or shared tours?
Both. Private tours are only for your group, with your own vehicle and driver. Shared tours let you travel with other guests and share the cost.
Are your guides licensed?
Yes. All of our guides are officially licensed.
Can I customize my Morocco itinerary?
Yes. The itineraries on our website are sample routes. On a private tour you can change the length, destinations, pace and accommodation, or ask us to design a trip from scratch.
Do you offer airport pickup?
Yes. Private tours can start with an airport pickup and end with an airport drop-off. Flights are not included in the tour price.
Where will we stay?
We choose accommodation to suit your itinerary, such as traditional riads in the medinas and desert camps in the Sahara.
How do I book and pay?
A small deposit confirms your reservation, and the balance is paid on the first day of your tour. The deposit amount depends on the service and how close the travel date is. See our Booking & Payment Policy and Cancellation Policy.
