Day 2: Fes Sightseeing
We start the day discovering the oldest city in Morocco, walking through its narrow streets and historic alleys. Highlights include the Royal Palace gate and the Jewish quarter, home to the first Mellah built in Morocco in the 16th century. You will also explore major cultural and historical spots such as Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region.
The tour continues with visits to the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, you will explore several local cooperatives before enjoying a panoramic view over the Medina of Fes. The day ends at your riad.
Day 3: Fes – Merzouga Desert
We travel toward Azrou to visit the cedar forest, known for its population of Berber apes. The road continues past Midelt and through the Ziz Valley, with a short stop in Erfoud for lunch or drinks. We then pass Rissani and arrive in Merzouga. Here, you may choose to switch from the 4×4 to a camel ride led by an experienced guide to explore the Erg Chebbi dunes. After about 90 minutes, you reach the desert camp in time to watch the sunset. Dinner will be served around the campfire, and you will spend the night in traditional Berber tents.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
We begin early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then head to a nearby hotel to freshen up. After breakfast, we continue through Rissani and Tinghir toward Todra Gorge, the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. After lunch, the journey continues through the Dades Valley, where you can admire the rock formations known as Monkey Toes. You will stay overnight in the Dades Valley, with dinner and breakfast included.

The journey continues across the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakesh, where you will spend the night in a traditional riad in the medina.

MOROCCO TOURS FAQS
How many days in Morocco is enough?
The ideal length of a trip to Morocco depends on what you want to see and do. In most cases, spending about seven to ten days is enough to enjoy a balanced itinerary that includes major destinations such as Marrakech, Fes, and a journey into the desert. If you prefer to explore particular regions in more depth or take part in additional activities, extending your visit to two weeks or longer can be worthwhile. In the end, the right amount of time differs for every traveler and depends on personal interests and travel goals.
Can I customize my Morocco itinerary?
Yes, you can fully customize your Morocco itinerary. The itineraries on our website are provided as sample routes, and you are free to adjust them based on your interests, preferences, and the amount of time you plan to spend in Morocco.
Do I need a visa for Morocco?

If you hold a passport from another country, it is recommended to verify the specific visa requirements before your trip.
Is it safe to travel to Morocco?

Best time to visit Morocco
Morocco is a great destination year-round, but the most recommended months to visit are from September to December and from March to May. These seasons offer mild, comfortable weather without the intense summer heat or the colder winter evenings.
Summer can be quite warm, though the coastal regions remain refreshing thanks to cool breezes and pleasant nights. Winter tends to be colder, especially in the mountain areas, but it’s also an excellent time for Sahara Desert adventures. Keeping these seasonal differences in mind will help you plan your Morocco itinerary for the best possible experience.
