Day 1: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ameridil – Valley of Roses – Boumalne Dades – Dades Gorges – Tinghir City
After breakfast, your 5 day journey from Ouarzazate to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert begins. Your driver guide will pick you up from your accommodation and head toward the Dades region, traveling through the Skoura oasis where you will stop to visit the famous Kasbah Ameridil.

The route continues along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the Valley of Roses, an area known for its scenic landscapes and traditional villages. Later, you will reach the impressive Dades Valley and Dades Gorges, where you will enjoy panoramic views and free time for lunch. In the evening, you will arrive in Tinghir city for dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

Day 2: Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Rissani – Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes of Merzouga
After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, you will depart from Tinghir toward Merzouga on a journey through valleys and desert landscapes. The day starts with a visit to the Todra Gorges, famous for their towering orange cliffs that rise nearly 1000 feet high and attract climbers from around the world. You will also enjoy the green scenery of Todra Valley, filled with palm and almond trees.

The drive continues toward the Sahara Desert through the Ziz Valley and the Tafilalet oasis region, passing Berber towns such as Tinjdad, Aoufous, Erfoud, and Rissani. There will be time for lunch along the way. In the afternoon, you will arrive at the spectacular sand dunes of Merzouga, where dinner and overnight will be in a hotel or riad near the dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert Tour – Merzouga Lake – Khamlia – Nomad Family – Camel Trekking – Desert Camp
After breakfast, you will begin a full desert exploration around the Erg Chebbi dunes. Highlights include a visit to Merzouga Lake, which attracts birds such as ducks and flamingos when filled with water, especially during spring.

You will then visit Khamlia village to experience traditional Gnawa music performed by locals of sub Saharan origin. The journey continues off road to the black desert behind the dunes, with stops at an abandoned village known for mineral fossils and a visit to a nomadic Berber family to learn about their daily life.

Lunch will be served in Khamlia at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will start a camel trekking adventure across the golden dunes toward the desert camp. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, watch the sunset from the dunes, and spend the evening with dinner, local music, and an overnight stay in a desert camp under a star filled sky.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Tazarine – Agdez – Ouarzazate
Wake up early to climb the dunes and admire a beautiful desert sunrise. After breakfast and a shower, you will ride a camel back to Merzouga village. The journey continues toward Ouarzazate, starting with a visit to Rissani, home to the largest traditional market in the region, where you can explore local products and handicrafts. The market is most active on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

You will then travel through Alnif, Tazarine, and Nkob, stopping for lunch along the way. In the afternoon, drive through the scenic Draa Valley, famous for its palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and Berber villages. The route continues via Agdez and across the Anti Atlas Mountains before reaching Ouarzazate in the evening for dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Atlas Studios – Ait Benhaddou – Ounila Valley – Telouet – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, the final day of your Sahara Desert tour begins with a visit to the famous Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate. You will then continue to the historic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified village built along the ancient caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara and once an important trading center in the 17th century.

Ait Benhaddou is made up of several kasbahs and traditional homes and has been featured in famous films such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. The journey continues through the beautiful Ounila Valley, passing Berber villages to reach Telouet, where you will visit the Telouet Kasbah, built in the 18th and 19th centuries by the powerful Glaoui family.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you will drive through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n Tichka Pass at 2260 meters, with stops along the way to enjoy breathtaking views. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Marrakech, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation, marking the end of the tour.
